Frevo performance at the International Monetary Fund (IMF)

Last week, my nonprofit EducArte presented frevo at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) / World Bank 2023 Annual Spring Meetings. I performed with fellow passista Guilherme Antonio da Silva and with musicians Brian Falkowski (sax, flute, arrangement), Matvei Sigalov (guitar), Jon Steele (bass), and Joe Herrera (trumpet). We presented classic frevo songs like “Vassourinhas” and “Evocação No. 1,” along with a few samba and choro instrumental pieces.

Our performance was also featured in Brazil’s news outlet “O Valor Econômico” in an article by Fabíola Góis.
